3D Printed Teleprompter

Ever since I started this channel almost 4 years ago, I have always struggled to talk to the camera. Sure, it has gotten easier over the years, but for some reason, the second I press record, my mind goes completely blank and I start mumbling a bunch of nonsense. This amazing ability to completely forget everything I know has inspired me to make several attempts at building the perfect teleprompter, and with this one… I nailed it.

This prompter features a 256mmx206mm piece of beam splitter glass (which was admittedly the best upgrade over my previous prompters) along with an adjustable iPad mount, an absolutely beautifully hand-sewn blackout hood, and several GoPro style mounts that allow me to tilt the screen and attach a field monitor to the top.

In the end, I couldn’t be happier with how this teleprompter turned out! The different in quality is literally night and day compared to my previous prompters, and it’s so much easier to set up and get started recording!

Overall, this thing cost about $60 (depending on how/where you source your parts) which is about 1/2 the price of similar teleprompters on Amazon. Just a warning, the beam splitter glass is $$$, so don’t break it!
